Jr. High Boys Camp - Counselor/Staff 2026
CAMP COUNSELORS:
Thank you for your interest in signing up to help at the Apostolic Christian Jr High Boys Camp! We are looking forward to a great, high-octane, energy packed weekend serving the youth of our church.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Jr. High Boys Camp typically has 16 to 18 cabins. Cabins have between 7-9 campers and two counselors each.
Counselor: Counselors are responsible for the well-being of their campers as well as to provide a fun and spiritually enriching experience. Counselors lead cabin devotions, maintain the daily camp schedule, participate in outdoor activities, and help foster friendships within their cabin.
Servant Help: this staff position involves helping out in the day-to-day running of camp. Servant Help assist in running game stations, challenge courses, organize supplies, keep camp clean, perform saga scenes, and follow kitchen/committee staff directions.

Prerequisites
- Bus Chaperone and Driver are by invitation only.
Responsibilities
- Counselors are responsible for leading cabin devotions. These devotions may consist of personal testimonies, prepared topics, and/or discussions about the camp guest speakers and theme.
- For the duration of the camp, campers will be the responsibility of the cabin counselors. Make diligent efforts to know the whereabouts of your cabin throughout the weekend.
- It is highly encouraged to arrive Thursday evening (6:30pm CST) prior to camp to become familiar with the camp boundaries and cabin layout as well as receiving camp orientation information. And pizza!!
- Each cabin will have two counselors each. The counselor roster will be sent out approximately two weeks prior to camp. We recommend reaching out and connecting with your prospective co-counselor before camp if possible.
Restrictions
- Counselors must be willing to get shot with paintballs. At close range. Seriously.
- All applicants for Counselors and Servant Help will be required to have their local church Elder approve their participation. HarvestCall will provide church leadership the list of volunteers from their congregations.
- Counselors must be full members of the Apostolic Christian Church in good standing and be at least 18 years old.
- Converts may volunteer as Servant Help with approval from their local Elder.
