Camp Counselors:

Thank you for your interest in signing up to help at the Apostolic Christian Jr. High Girls Camp! Fellowship, singing, food, and games are the highlights of this weekend camp. Girls are challenged by their counselors, special speakers, and by songs to live in a way that pleases the Lord and brings glory to His name!

Overview:

This is a 4 day, 3 night, camp for jr. high school girls that have just finished their 7th and 8th grade years. (Girls who have finished their 6th grade year to be added to a waitlist for the opportunity to join camp if spots are not filled by 7th and 8th graders.) The weekend follows a main theme - Renovating the Heart - with three subtopics structuring the weekend. The theme verse this year is Ezekiel 36:26 " I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh." Students will be split into cabins and lead by a pair of Apostolic Christian Sisters from around the country. The weekend includes organized games, singing, skits, and free time, all framed around cabin-lead Bible study, devotions, and guest speakers presenting on our weekend theme. Mission Statement: To reach out to 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls by encouraging them to develop the attributes of devotion, character, and service while offering them an environment in which they can meet and make lasting friendships and together praise Jesus with other girls and counselors in the Apostolic Christian Church.

Restrictions

To be a counselor during the camp, you must be present all FOUR days of the camp and preferably for the Wednesday night pre-camp meeting as well (June 12th-16th). If you are unable to make it for all four days of camp, there are other staff responsibilities that can be assigned to you, but you will not have direct responsibility for a group of girls. *** Keep this in mind: If you sign up to attend camp and have to back out, it is your responsibility to find a replacement and to contact the Jr. High Girls Camp committee ([email protected]) with that person’s name and phone number.
