Medical-Dental Trip to the "Colonias" of the Rio Grande Valley

Join us for a time of personal, professional and spiritual growth on a medical-dental team to the “Colonias” of the Rio Grande Valley (McAllen, Texas). There we partner with local clinics and health-care organizations engaged in ministering to underserved communities. We assist resident health-care providers with their community screenings and outreach health fairs performing vitals assessments, health screenings, and health education on topics of diabetes, hypertension, nutrition, dental care, and first aid.
Important aspects of the team include:

• Cross-cultural learning: learning from patients and those who are dedicated to serving the least of these (Matthew 25:40) will equip participants to be more effective in serving and ministering to diverse people in their own practices and health-care settings.
• Professional fellowship and encouragement: connecting with other brethren who can understand the unique pressures and challenges that health-care workers face will encourage and uplift participants to not grow weary in well doing (Galatians 6:9-10).
• Spiritual equipping in practicing evangelistic tools - sharing God’s love, the Plan of Salvation, the word of God, and praying with others for individual specific needs will help participants practice skills that they can use to live missionally every day (Matthew 28:18-20).
